Hilo Bay Realty was started in 2010 with just the Principal Broker, Ed Torrison working out of a small one room office.  In early 2014, he decided to take on new agents, and by the end of the year, he had 6 agents working with him, and moved into a 1,500 SF office.  

In July of 2016, Ed had the opportunity to add a second office by taking over the space where Aloha Coast Realty was located in the Pahoa Market Place, and kept 12 of its agents.  

January of 2019 saw HBR continue to expand by opening its property management division with the addition of 2 Property Managers, and now has over 50 homes in its long term and short term rental inventory.  Currently, along with its Principal Broker, HBR has 19 agents, with 2019 year to date sales in excess of $30M.  Their motto is “Local values, global impact”, and they take great pride in providing excellent service for buyers and sellers of residential, vacant land and commercial properties.
